Information we collect
- Account details — your name, username, email address, and a securely hashed password.
- Betting data you enter — events, selections, odds, stakes, dates, sports, tipsters, bookmakers, and results.
- Usage data — anonymous analytics about how the site is used (only if you accept analytics cookies; see below).
Public & private profiles
By default, profiles on log.bet are public: your username and the bets you record are visible to anyone who visits your profile page. You can make your account private at any time from your profile, after which your bets are visible only to you. Your email address and password are never shown publicly. While your profile is public, please don't put information you want to keep private into bet descriptions or other free-text fields.
Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site (for example, to keep you signed in). These don't require consent.
We also use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. Analytics cookies are disabled by default and are only set after you accept them in the cookie banner (we use Google Consent Mode, so until you accept, analytics runs without cookies). You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's site data for log.bet.
How we use your data
- To provide your account and store and display your bets and statistics.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
- To understand aggregate usage trends (analytics).
Sharing
We don't sell your personal data. Aside from the public profile information described above, we share data only with service providers that help us run log.bet — currently Google Analytics (usage analytics, after consent) and our hosting provider. If your profile is public, your bets are, by design, visible to all visitors.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you can object to or restrict certain processing. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your profile (Profile → Delete account); this permanently removes your account and all of your bets. Data retention & security
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Passwords are stored hashed, and data is transmitted over HTTPS. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
